Thrift Store Finds

I can't believe it has been so long since my last post.  I have been so busy working on projects.
It has been hard to stay on task here in Pennsylvania, it has been really cold.

Here are some great items I picked up in Thrift Stores and refinished.  I have a few before pictures

Frame was $2 at SA, Trees at CTS for $1 a piece and rabbit $2 at SA.  Some black Paint and done

SA for $2, painted black then distressed a little.  Those tealights from Dollar Tree, then covered in Cinnimon mixture.
SA Candle Holder $4, I think.  I actually found 2 of them.  Painted them flat black.  I love that stuff.

These frames were all from Salvation Army or Dollar Tree.  Two of them I covered in paper, then the others painted and distressed.

much more to show.  I will save for another post.

Finished Projects

Actually finished a few things Saturday, before the cold came in.  Then nothing was drying so I couldn't keep going.

Before - Wood Piggy.  Please understand I love Pigs.  He was $0.49 at Thrift Store

After - The Yellow One in the Front.  Fits right in with the others.

Before - Set of 2 Dirty Candle Holders.  Think I paid $2 a piece.
After - Painted Satin Black.  Sorry they are a little dusty in this photo.

Old Firkin Lamp turns into....

White Collectible Firkin.  The Red One is one I  refinished too.  I love these things.

White Tray on bottom.

End Table Mason Jar Candle Holder.  Saw this somewhere, but don't remember where.

Worked on a bunch of things this weekend, but didn't get pictures of everything yet.  Hopefully the weather will be better this weekend and I can get more projects done.  Working on sewing throw pillow covers in red and green homespun for my couch for Christmas.

Stay Tuned...

Signs, Signs, Signs

I have been handpainting signs for a few years now.  A friend of mine had a Primitive store and somehow I became the designated sign maker for the shop.  When sje closed the shop I kept painting signs for my Frineds and Family.  A few months ago I opened a booth in a Co-Op nearby.  This was my original reason for starting this blog, to try to get them out in Internet.  Hoping that you all like them as much as my Family and Friends

These are all Handpainted, and Antiqued by me.  These are pictures from my booth at Old Sled Works in Duncannon, Pa.

These are some pictures of my booth from our Towns Annual Pumpkin Fest.

Let me know what you think.....

Working Projects

Here are some of the projects I have in the garage to work on this winter

This great Old Heavy Card Catalog.  Covered in plywood, and very heavy.  Thinking of removing all the plywood, since it isn't in very good shape.   Some Wood Putty, fresh paint and some new hardware.  Think it is going to be beautiful.  Stay Tuned...

Antique Jelly Cupboard.  Great shape, but has a nasty finish.  Planning on stripping the finish to take it to its natural beauty.

Two ladder back chairs, need some sanding.  Then a fresh finish or maybe just painted black.  We'll see.
Then some smalls I picked up at one of my favorite thrift stores.  These will look great once I prim them up.

Mainly bought this lamp just for the firkin.  My new fav collectible.

My brother is into ducks, and I think this will look so neat when I am done with it.

Stay tuned for these projects to get finished.  I have my work cut out for me.
